West EARN: People Share Hiring in Philly, KoP

1 – Bill Review Auditor – Required experience in analyzing, reviewing and processing workers’ compensation bills according to fee structure and rules and regulations for the state of PA. Includes handling both inbound and outbound telephonic and electronic inquiries.  Required: 3+ years processing bill review claims, preferably workers compensation claims. Desired:  2+ year Customer Service, working with clients and adjusters in a Bill Review or Insurance field. Pay is $14 per hour. May pay more if candidate has PowerTrak experience. Shift 9 – 5:30

3 - AR Claims Analyst (Collector)- Communicate with insurance companies, physician practices, other third party payers, and patients to settle billing issues and to resolve patient accounts; Respond to inquiries or follow up on issues and provide information to resolve outstanding balance; Work delinquent accounts systematically giving priority to high dollar accounts and aged accounts to resolve outstanding balance; Follow-up with payers to resolve rebills generated by accounts receivable; Answer inquiries by providers regarding the status of unpaid and paid claims; Work with internal departments to resolve issues on unpaid claims. Shift 8 – 4 pm; Pay is $14 per hour. Note this is a long term assignment with high potential to go perm. Must be able to pass a Drug Screen and Background Check

1- Customer Service Rep - Minimum of 2 years inbound and outbound experience; Excel experience and database management e.g. updating provider or contact databases is a plus. They need people with strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidates will understand the importance of obtaining and evaluating all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints and for documentation purposes. Their needs change without notice, so flexibility and a high stress tolerance is required. Shift available 12:00 – 8:30 pm. Pay $14 per hour.

2- Medical Biller – Minimum of 1-2 years of recent and relevant work experience. Knowledge of medical billing and insurance claim filing and ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding. This is a goal driven and team oriented environment. Responsibilities include processing in and/or out-of network provider bills by reviewing and comparing to provider bills for accuracy. Verifying total charges, CPT codes, diagnosis codes, license numbers, addresses, doctor’s credentials and all other details of HCFA’s and UB’s. Shift 8:30 - 4:30. Pay is $14 per hour.

4- PT Payroll Clerk – Knowledge of garnishment laws. 1+ year payroll experience. Payroll data entry into EV5 or related payroll software. Excellent data entry skills. Excel and Word experience. Main focus is they will be responsible for maintaining all garnishments. Must pass SS, Background check, and Credit Check. This is a part time position – 20 hours a week. Shift 10:00 – 4:00 pm

1- PT Program Implementer (Norristown) – Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to develop resources and deliver program. Willingness to work with at-risk children. Desirable: Spanish (and other language) speaking skills a plus. Identify additional program needs of girls at assigned sites and communicate those needs to the Manager responsible for that area. Work with Manager to implement recruitment strategies. Valid driver’s license, car, and proof of insurance. Computer skills – Proficiency in Microsoft 2007 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with advanced knowledge such as mail merges and experience working with databases. Ability to understand and monitor budgets and perform, metrics. High school diploma or GED required. Must be able to pass a Criminal Background check, Sex Offender Clearance, Education verification, and employment verification. Monday’s until the school year ends. Times 3:00 – 6:00 pm. Summer: Monday thru Thursday’s around 4 to 6 hours a day.

5- Warehouse – Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with dust and strong smells. Able to stand for several hours at a time. Able to communicate clearly with operators. Able to lift/maneuver at least 20 lbs. several times a day. Either be trainable or have experience operating an electric pallet jack. Trainable to operate electric scale. Floor Helpers will rake and turn tobacco, pack Saratoga’s, cutting straps off boxes and assisting the leaf layout person. Search tobacco as it is moving through  the process and/or searching Saratoga’s for non-tobacco related materials, as well as general cleaning. Must be able to search and look through tobacco on a moving belt without getting motion sickness. Must be able to see different colors or types of materials that are different than tobacco leaf. Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and have a driver’s license. Pay Rate: $9
Shift Hours: 1st shift: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, 2nd shift: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm, 3rd shift: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am.

POSITION GRADE: E4
STATUS: Exempt. Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
GRADE RANGE: Minimum $52,782; Midpoint $76,850; Maximum $95,918
START DATE: Anticipated start date is August 1, 2011

POSITION SUMMARY
The Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO Community Services Liaison is responsible for facilitating and managing a positive collaborative relationship between the leadership of both UWSEPA and the Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO. The liaison supports activities, community relationships and outreach programs that reflect the shared priorities of UWSEPA and the Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO and is the vital link to key departments at UWSEPA.

The position adds critical staff resources to ensure (1) an increased labor presence at events and activities sponsored by UWSEPA or the labor community (2) capacity to focus on data analysis to support planning and decision-making, and (3) support for efforts to involve organized labor in specific resource development and community impact opportunities. In addition, the liaison will build, maintain and manage relationships with union leadership, constituents and key community partners.

The successful completion of the tasks and responsibilities of this position will result in increased exposure and member involvement between organized labor and UWSEPA; increased civic participation by union members in UWSEPA activities and volunteer projects; and increased visibility for the partnership between the Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO and UWSEPA.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/SPECIFIC DUTIES
Labor Relations and Support - Serve as the key liaison between organized labor and UWSEPA by linking the two organizations and responding to constituent and staff needs.
·         Establish, build and maintain labor and community partnerships and coalitions
·         Staff the AFL-CIO Community Services Committee
·         Serve as a representative at union sponsored events, meetings and conferences
·         Oversee the dislocated worker program development and execution
·         Ensure labor members are aware of and connected to UWSEPA resources and programs
·         Assist with annual fundraising efforts to increase labor participation
·         Serve on the PA State Rapid Response Team by attending planning and other meetings
·         Supervise the development and management of a union volunteer database
·         Supervise Administrative Assistant

United Way of Southeastern PA Civic Engagement Support – With UWSEPA’s Civic Engagement staff build connections between labor members and other community groups
·         Mobilize working families and other constituent groups to advocate on shared interests and values
·         Support UWSEPA mobilizing activities by reaching out to community volunteers and those outside the traditional corporate volunteer base
·         Assist in the meaningful inclusion of organized labor in projects managed through UWSEPA’s Community Impact Department.

QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
1.    Type and Level of Education: Work, life and educational experiences that complement this unique position

2.    Technical or Special Knowledge:
·         Familiarity with the history and current priorities of organized labor preferably having worked directly with a union
·         Strong community organizing and mobilization skills
·         Familiarity with the local nonprofit human services community

3.    Basic Experience/Skill Requirements:
·         Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
·         Strong analytical skills to organize, analyze, support decision-making
·         Must have strong people skills and ability to effectively interact with diverse audiences

Warehouse Worker Needed @ Auto Parts Warehouse


Springfield Auto Parts Warehouse Auto Parts Store has a daytime shift (8am-4:30pm) Warehouse Stocker position at 505 Parkway in Broomall to start ASAP.
Description:  Lifting items 25 to 50lbs.  Stocking items on the shelves.  Picking auto parts from an inventory list and  filling customer orders.  35 hrs./wk.  Accessible by public transportation.  Employer will train.
Skills and Experience: You must have a valid driver’s license.  Operating a forklift is a plus. You must be able to multi-task. The job requires punctuality and very good attendance.

Police Bike Tour Comes to Chester



This morning, customers noticed the group of blue-shirted cyclists in the parking lot behinfd our office.  These cyclists are part of the Northern New Jersey Chapter of Police Unity Tour, which began in East Hanover, NJ on Monday and ends at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington on Thursday.

According to their web site, "The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum."
