Good morning EDSI. Skyline Home Care located in Wyndmoor, PA is currently looking for Direct Care Workers/Caregivers. Duties will be determined by a consumer’s individual need and will be outlined on a Plan of Care. The Duties/Responsibilities are as follows, but are not limited to:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assistance with ambulation and/or transfer.
- Assistance or administering of complete personal care such as bathing, oral hygiene, hair care, dressing and skin care.
- Assistance with medications and/or medication reminders.
- Meal planning and/or preparation.
- Assistance with feeding by mouth.
- Light housekeeping, i.e. dusting, vacuuming, mopping, change linens, etc.
- Laundry.
- Shopping and errands.
- Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for the consumer.
- Observe and report any changes in the consumer’s mental, physical or emotional condition or home situation to the Client Care Coordinator.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication and a professional relationship with consumers, family member(s) and co-workers.
- Participates in in-service and continuing education programs, staff meetings and client conferences as requested.
- Complete required documentation for services delivered and submits to office in a timely manner.
- Uses equipment and supplies safely and properly.
- Maintains confidentially regarding client information according to HIPAA regulations.
Qualification/Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be a Certified Nurse Aide. Certification must be current in the state of PA.
- Must be bondable and meet or exceed minimum qualifications for each of the following background checks: Criminal Background Investigation, ChildLine Verification as well as Professional and Personal Reference Checks.
- Must have reliable transportation and fulfill assignments with reliability and punctuality.
- Must satisfactorily complete written exam and orientation program.
- Must be able to function in a home setting with minimal direct supervision.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and document services provided.
- Must be genuinely concerned about helping people and have high moral standards of honesty and integrity.
